My love for storytelling is not personified only in photography, I am also an author and a poet. I have written my first novel (a love story about stars searching for each other on Earth) in what is planned to be a five book series. As well as a poetry and photography book! My writing helps me notice the little details. I see the way your hands linger on each other, the secret smiles that you share from behind lowered lashes, or the way you toss your head back when you laugh. You are the kind of love they write about. The kind of love we read about.
As your photographer, I am simply adding images to the story you have already written. The beauty of your love is the two of you, in every way my goal is to capture you and your love naturally as you are.
My philosophy is presence over perfection. Your unique love story is a tale of raw beauty, authentic moments, and the depth of a story that belongs to only you: and I intend to capture it as such.
Your memories are everything to me, and I don't take the responsibility lightly.
The beauty of artistry is that each person’s perspective on this world is as unique as they are. I hone my artistic perspective by living simply and slowly. When I am not behind the lens I can be found outside, adventuring (or being delightfully lazy) with my husband, devouring a romatasy or classic novel, writing, or watching Pride and Prejudice 2005.
My love for travel, storytelling, and the impacts of love is what shifted my career from sports broadcasting to being an author and photographer. I realized that the world was bigger than a stadium and I did not want to trade exploring the world for reposting on a game. Two days after I graduated from college, I packed my car and moved by myself to Wyoming. God’s hand was in this decision, and as always His plan for me was far greater than my own. I praise him every day for leading me away from a hurried life into an existence of presence. This perspective transformed the way I create. As your photographer, I can promise you a non-obtrusive and candid approach to capturing your most cherished memories. By being intentional as I create, I give you the gift of being present in the moment. My slow and unhurried artistry emphasizes the details.

whats the back up plan?
Your Elopement day is one of the most important days of your life, I carry it with the same respect. Of course, every situation is different but here are a few backup plans for common concerns:
What if the weather is bad on the day of? - Alternating weather can add such a beautiful and unexpected element to your story! However, I will also bring supplies to be prepared to shoot indoors.
What if we need to reschedule? - We can work together to try to find a date to reschedule! However, your deposit is non-refundable.
What if travel to the location is hindered? - We can either find an alternate location or work to find a date to reschedule.
What if something happens to your camera? - Do not worry about that, I always bring a backup!
If you have someone you would like to officiate your wedding, of course bring them along. However, if you would like your elopement to simply be the two of you, I am ordained and legally allowed to sign your marriage license!
Do we need an officiant?
Nope! I know planning is stressful enough, all packages include my travel fees so I will book my flights and hotel/Air B&B. So you can go ahead and check that off of your list!
